Randy Makes The Top 25
Randy Travis took the #6 spot on Billboard’s latest rankings, Country’s Top 25 of the Past 25 Years. The list was compiled in celebration their Country Music Summit and the CMT Music Awards, two events kicking off a big week of non stop country.
The list honors some of country’s greatest stars: #19 Keith Urban, #14 Shania Twain, #13 Hank Williams Jr, #11 Rascal Flatts, #5 Tim McGraw, #4 Alan Jackson, #3 Reba McEntire, #2 Garth Brooks and #1 George Strait.
Currently Travis performed last Friday at Nebraska’s 2010 Cattlemen’s Ball, an event to benefit cancer research. Since its founding in 1998, the ball has raised $3.8 million for the cause. This year it hopes to rake in a total of $1 million. Randy Travis has scheduled performances and inspirational appearances now through October.
